In Pakistan, we have seen a surge in the popularity of Turkish actors, mainly due to the astonishing success of the TV series Drilish Ertugrul. The series was then released in Urdu by PTV, naming it Ertugrul Ghazi which has broken the records of most online views in Pakistan by a huge margin. Among the most loved performances was the one of Turgut Alp, played by Cengiz Coskun, making him a popular figure among the Pakistani audience.

A notable fact is that Cengiz Coskun remains the only major actor from Drills Ertugrul to have not made an appearance in the Pakistani media since then. The lead actor of the series, Engin Altan, had made a much-publicized visit to the country last year, with other popular performers Nurettin Sonmez, Ayberk Pekcan and Cavit Cetin have also made their separate visits. Esra Bilgic, the actor who played the character of Halime Sultan, has also collaborated with Pakistani creators for some advertisements. But Cengiz Coskun has yet to stay evasive and the people are waiting for his next performance.

The wait is soon to be over as our very own Fatimah Haroon aka Fatography has already shot a stint with Cengiz Coskun over a month back. Looking at Fatimah’s previous feats, we can be sure that this photoshoot will surely be loved by the viewers here in Pakistan and also by the actor’s fans in Turkey.

For those who are not familiar with the photography sector of Pakistan, this will not be the first, or last, great performance by Fatimah Haroon, the person hailed to be the first female photographer in the country. Starting out at the age of 15 with just her DSLR and a knack for taking masterful stills, Ms Haroon has come a long way and continued to impress with a series of achievements and milestones to her name.

Fatimah’s early education is from Karachi, where she lived before moving to Islamabad. Despite early academic setbacks, she redeemed herself by following her passion for photography and by the age of 16, she was asked to speak at prominent institutions like the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI). For graduation, she went to University of Birkbeck in London and studied Psychology, International Relations and Media Studies. She then completed her masters from Central Saint Martins College of Arts London for Film and Television in 2016.

Teaming up with Cengiz Coskun won’t be the first time for Fatimah to work with an international superstar. She has been part of many projects of Hollywood and Bollywood and has worked with stars like Marc Anthony, Aishwarya Rai, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Siddharth Malhotra. In Pakistan, she has had the honour of working with Shehzad Roy, Momina Mustehsan and Amna Sheikh along with many top names for leading magazines and fashion brands.

She has also covered fashion events like Fashion Pakistan Week in 2018 and 2019, and also the New York Fashion Week in 2018. A major highlight of her career was when she walked the Cannes Film Festival 2018’s red carpet, the youngest Pakistani female to do it.

Coming back to the photoshoot we are waiting for, we don’t yet know when we will get to see it. For updates, you can wait for updates on the Fatography website and follow Fatography Official on Instagram. Along with this photoshoot, Cengiz Coskun’s fans are also waiting for his next grand release, the Malazgirt 1071 expected to be out this year. Malazgirt 1071’s trailer is already seen by millions of people and the wait is getting a bit too much for their liking. So for them, this photoshoot can be an early surprise to see their favourite celebrity before the movie comes out.

If you enjoy creative photography, we recommend you to follow Ms Fatimah Haroon through her website and social handles. She is one of those photographers who never fail to impress the audiences and have the knack of bringing out the best from leading superstars from Pakistan and beyond.
